Lana Iseli: Growing Up in Show Business | MagicLife Podcast #8

Lana has been part of our magic-show world since she was just four days old. Long before she could take an active role in a performance, she was already coming along with us and watching from her car seat.

In episode #8 of Wes Iseli’s MagicLife Podcast, “Lana, Growing Up in Show Business,” we look back at how her involvement in our shows developed as she grew.

Her story begins with being there. Watching Mom and Dad work, spending time around performances, and becoming familiar with the setting came before taking part in the magic herself.

Over time, that role changed. Lana went from watching the show to producing silks—the colorful silk handkerchiefs familiar to magic audiences—and eventually helping with illusions.

That progression gives this episode its personal focus. A child who once watched from a car seat gradually became someone with a part to play in the performance.

For a family that earns its living entertaining audiences, work and family life often share the same space. Traveling to a show is also time spent together. A performance becomes part of the family’s history, and an old recording can preserve a stage of childhood that passes quickly.

Live magic also depends on people working together. Timing, preparation, and knowing your role all matter when a show is in front of an audience. Looking at Lana’s growing involvement offers a family perspective on that shared work.

Originally released in 2020, this early podcast episode is a snapshot of Lana’s childhood and our life as a performing family. For longtime followers, it is a chance to revisit that chapter. For newer listeners, it introduces a personal part of the MagicLife story.

Life in Limbo: Twins, Television, and the Waiting Game on Magiclife Podcast #7

Have you ever had so much coming up that it felt like your whole life was waiting for the next thing to happen?

That was the idea behind “Life in Limbo,” episode #7 of Wes Iseli’s Magiclife Podcast. Originally released in September 2020, this early episode catches our family at a point when several big parts of our future were still ahead of us: the television show, the twins, and magic shows.

A Television Show on the Horizon

One of the things we discuss in this episode is our television show. For anyone following the Magiclife story, this is a chance to revisit that chapter while it was still unfolding.

It is easy to look back at a finished project and focus on the result. An episode like this preserves something different: the time before everything comes together. It lets you return to the conversation without skipping straight to what happened afterward.

Twins, Family Life, and Magic Shows

Alongside the television plans, we were also waiting for the twins. That put a major family milestone into the same conversation as our work and upcoming performances.

Family and show business have always been connected in our lives. This episode brings those two sides together, with the twins and magic shows both part of the waiting game.

When Life Feels Like a Waiting Game

You do not have to be a magician or have a television show to recognize the feeling behind “Life in Limbo.”

Maybe you have waited for a baby to arrive, a project to launch, or an answer that would help you make your next decision. There is a strange combination of anticipation and uncertainty in knowing that change is coming while still living through the days before it happens.

That familiar feeling gives this episode a connection beyond magic. The circumstances belong to our family, but the experience of waiting for the next chapter is something many people share.

Watch Wes Iseli’s Magiclife Podcast #7: Life in Limbo for this early conversation about our family, television plans, and life around the magic shows.

From Vlog to TV: The Story of Wes Iseli’s MagicLife

Wes Iseli's Magiclife Podcast S1E6 JUL-TV

Before Wes Iseli’s MagicLife became a television show, it was a vlog documenting a magician’s life with his family. The cameras followed Wes and Natalie through performances, travel, family adventures, and the everyday moments surrounding a career in entertainment.

Those videos became the foundation for the television series, which first aired on Jul-TV. The original footage was re-edited into approximately 22-minute episodes, bringing the family’s experiences to a new audience.

As of October 2026, the TV show has three seasons, while the original vlog has reached episode #325 and continues to be produced.

The Vlog That Started It All

Wes and Natalie began their MagicLife vlog in 2015, sharing a look at their lives on and off the stage.

For viewers, the videos offered a chance to follow the family and see the work, travel, and experiences surrounding a professional magician’s performances. For the Iselis, they also created a record of their own lives.

In podcast episode #6, Wes and Natalie discuss how much they enjoy revisiting those memories, including seeing Lana grow up on camera.

That growing archive became the source material for Wes Iseli’s MagicLife on television. Years of filming had given Wes a collection of performances, trips, and family experiences to draw from.

Sharing the Jul-TV Announcement on the Podcast

“Wes Iseli’s MagicLife Podcast #6: Jul-TV Announcement” captures the excitement of that next step.

Wes and Natalie announced an agreement for 16 television episodes, with the Jul-TV launch scheduled for September 16. They also discussed why family-friendly programming mattered to them as they prepared to share their experiences through the network.

For anyone discovering MagicLife today, the episode offers a chance to hear the announcement as Wes and Natalie shared it with their audience.

How Vlog Footage Became 22-Minute TV Episodes

The connection between the two formats is direct: the TV show came from the vlog.

Wes re-edited the original material for television. Footage could be brought together around a particular trip or experience, shaping it into an episode of approximately 22 minutes.

In the podcast, he gives a clear example: the family’s first Cancun trip had appeared across three vlog episodes, which he condensed into one television episode.

That editing process gave the footage a new presentation. Viewers could follow the same family adventure through an episode prepared for the television format.

It also explains why the original vlog is such an important part of MagicLife’s story. The experiences captured in those videos supplied the material from which the television show grew.

Three TV Seasons and an Ongoing Vlog

The project has continued developing since that early announcement. Wes Iseli’s MagicLife now has three television seasons, and the original vlog is still being made.

Reaching vlog episode #325 marks another chapter in the family’s story. New performances, trips, and everyday experiences continue to become part of their video record.

For longtime followers, the archive is a way to revisit earlier adventures and see how the family and their career have changed. New viewers can discover the story through the television series, the vlog, and conversations on the podcast.

Meet the Hosts – Part 2: Natalie Iseli, the Woman Behind the MagicLife

Behind every great magic show is a tremendous amount of work that audiences never see. For Wes Iseli, one of the most important people helping bring that magic to life is his wife, Natalie. But Natalie Iseli is much more than a magician's assistant. She's a performer, wife, mother, entrepreneur, nutrition professional, and an essential part of the MagicLife adventure.

Welcome to Part 2 of our Meet the Hosts series!

In Part 1, we introduced you to Wes Iseli and his journey from a young boy fascinated by magic to a professional illusionist, television personality, and podcast host.

Now it's time to meet the other half of the team: Natalie Iseli.

Life on the Road With a Magician

Being married to a professional magician isn't exactly an ordinary lifestyle.

For Natalie, life often includes traveling across the country, preparing for performances, helping manage the many moving parts of a busy entertainment business, and raising a family along the way.

Together, Wes and Natalie have built a life that blends show business, family, travel, and entrepreneurship.

Natalie is an important part of Wes's live performances, helping bring large-scale illusions and audience experiences to life.

But her contributions extend far beyond what audiences see onstage.

From coordinating schedules and helping with the business to managing the unexpected challenges that come with traveling and performing, Natalie plays an essential role in keeping the MagicLife running.

And with hundreds of performances each year, there's rarely a dull moment!

The Family Behind MagicLife

Wes and Natalie are also the proud parents of three children: their daughter Lana and twin boys Lex and Julian.

Family is at the center of everything they do.

Their adventures have become a major part of the Wes Iseli's MagicLife television series and weekly vlog, giving audiences an opportunity to see what life is really like for a traveling entertainment family.

Sometimes that means exciting performances and unforgettable experiences.

Other times, it means long drives, unpredictable schedules, juggling responsibilities, and finding creative ways to balance family life with running a business.

Through it all, Natalie brings her own personality, perspective, and sense of humor to the experience.

The MagicLife isn't always glamorous, but it's certainly never boring.

Overcoming Challenges and Finding a New Passion

Natalie's journey hasn't been without significant challenges.

In 2022, she experienced a series of serious medical complications that resulted in an extended and difficult recovery.

The experience changed her perspective on health, wellness, and the importance of caring for the body.

Rather than allowing those challenges to define her future, Natalie developed an even greater passion for nutrition and helping others improve their health.

She returned to school and earned a master's degree in nutrition from Liberty University, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Her education, combined with her personal experiences, helped inspire the next chapter of her professional life.

Introducing Natalie's Nutrition Nation

Today, Natalie is the founder of Natalie's Nutrition Nation, a nutrition coaching business dedicated to helping people develop healthier habits and build sustainable lifestyles.

Through her website, NataliesNutritionNation.com, she offers personalized coaching and educational resources designed to make nutrition less confusing and more approachable.

Her services include support for weight management, healthy lifestyle changes, pregnancy and postpartum nutrition, life transitions, aging adults, and individuals navigating nutrition while using GLP-1 medications.

She also hosts weekly online community discussions, providing opportunities for people to learn, ask questions, and receive encouragement.

Natalie's approach focuses on realistic, sustainable changes rather than extreme diets or short-term fixes.

Her goal is to help people understand that healthier living doesn't have to mean giving up everything they enjoy.

For Natalie, nutrition is about building habits that work in everyday life.

A Different Perspective on the MagicLife Podcast

While Wes brings decades of entertainment experience to Wes Iseli's MagicLife Podcast, Natalie brings her own perspective to the conversations.

As a wife, mother, business owner, and someone who has experienced both the excitement and challenges of life on the road, she understands that every successful person has a story beyond what the public sees.

Together, Wes and Natalie enjoy learning about their guests' lives, careers, accomplishments, and personal experiences.

The podcast isn't just about magic.

It's about people.

From legendary magicians and entertainers to authors, creators, and individuals with extraordinary life experiences, the conversations offer listeners a chance to discover the stories behind the personalities.

Natalie's involvement helps bring another dimension to those discussions, reflecting the family-oriented and personal nature of the MagicLife brand.

More Than Just the Woman Behind the Curtain

Although audiences may first recognize Natalie from her appearances alongside Wes, she has developed a professional identity and mission of her own.

Between performing, raising a family, contributing to MagicLife productions, and growing her nutrition business, she wears many hats.

Her journey is a reminder that life can take unexpected turns and that new opportunities can emerge from even the most difficult experiences.

Natalie continues to embrace those opportunities while supporting the family and entertainment career she and Wes have built together.

Two Hosts, One Magical Life

Together, Wes and Natalie Iseli bring different experiences, personalities, and perspectives to Wes Iseli's MagicLife Podcast.

Wes's lifelong dedication to magic and entertainment, combined with Natalie's experiences in family life, business, and nutrition, creates a partnership that extends far beyond the stage.

Their shared adventures are the foundation of MagicLife, and their curiosity about other people's journeys is what keeps the podcast moving forward.

Whether they're interviewing a world-famous magician, discussing life behind the scenes, or sharing stories from their own adventures, their goal is to entertain, inspire, and connect with listeners.

Because at the end of the day, the MagicLife isn't just about making things disappear or creating impossible illusions.

It's about enjoying the journey, celebrating the people we meet along the way, and finding a little magic in everyday life.

Listen to Wes Iseli's MagicLife Podcast every Wednesday at 3 PM Eastern, and join Wes and Natalie for another adventure!

Meet the Hosts – Part 1: Wes Iseli, Magician, Illusionist, and Host of MagicLife

For more than 30 years, Wes Iseli has made a living doing what many people only dream about: performing magic, traveling the country, entertaining audiences, and sharing his love of the art with the world. But behind the illusions, television appearances, and thousands of performances is a lifelong passion for magic and the people who make it happen.

Welcome to Part 1 of our Meet the Hosts series, where we're taking you behind the scenes of Wes Iseli's MagicLife Podcast to introduce the people behind the microphones.

And where better to start than with Wes himself?

A Lifelong Love of Magic

Wes Iseli's fascination with magic began when he was around seven years old, after witnessing a simple coin-behind-the-ear trick.

That small moment of wonder would eventually shape the course of his entire life.

What started as a childhood interest grew into a passion that led Wes to pursue magic professionally. In 1996, he began his career as a full-time magician, and he hasn't looked back.

Today, Wes performs approximately 400 shows a year, traveling throughout the United States and entertaining audiences at theaters, resorts, festivals, corporate events, schools, and private functions.

His performances range from intimate close-up magic to full-scale, Vegas-style illusion shows featuring audience participation, comedy, live animals, and spectacular illusions.

For Wes, magic has never been just about fooling an audience. It's about creating memories, bringing people together, and making audiences feel that sense of wonder he first experienced as a child.

From the Stage to National Television

Over the years, Wes has built an impressive career both onstage and behind the scenes.

One of his most memorable accomplishments came in 2020 when he appeared on the hit television series Penn & Teller: Fool Us and successfully fooled the legendary duo.

The experience became a major milestone in his career and eventually led to additional opportunities to perform with Penn & Teller in Las Vegas.

Wes has also worked as a consultant and animal trainer for the popular television series The Carbonaro Effect.

His contributions to the magic community extend beyond television appearances.

He has been featured on the covers of The Linking Ring and The Christian Conjurer magazines, served as president of the Magicians Alliance of Eastern States, and received the organization's President's Award.

But despite the recognition, Wes has always remained passionate about performing and connecting with audiences.

Living the MagicLife

Magic isn't simply Wes's profession. It's a lifestyle that he shares with his wife, Natalie, and their children.

Together, the family travels, performs, and experiences the unusual adventures that come with life in show business.

Those adventures became the inspiration for Wes Iseli's MagicLife, a television series that gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a professional magician.

With more than 200 episodes produced, the series has taken audiences along for performances, travel adventures, family moments, and the everyday challenges of making a living in entertainment.

The show has aired on multiple television networks and streaming platforms, bringing the MagicLife experience to viewers around the country.

Wes has also maintained a weekly vlog since 2015, documenting the highs, lows, surprises, and realities of his unusual career.

The MagicLife Podcast Is Born

On July 29, 2020, Wes launched Wes Iseli's MagicLife Podcast as another way to connect with people and share fascinating stories.

The podcast quickly became a platform for conversations with magicians, entertainers, authors, performers, and interesting individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Rather than focusing exclusively on magic tricks and performance techniques, Wes enjoys exploring the personal journeys behind his guests' accomplishments.

How did they get started? What obstacles did they overcome? What inspired them to pursue their dreams? And what have they learned along the way?

These are the kinds of questions that make MagicLife more than just another interview podcast.

Now in its seventh season, the podcast has reached listeners in more than 100 countries, connecting people around the world through stories of creativity, perseverance, and passion.

New episodes are released every Wednesday at 3 PM Eastern.

More Than a Performer

When Wes isn't performing, recording podcasts, or filming television episodes, he's usually working on another magic-related project.

He owns and operates MagiciansMagicShop.com, an online magic shop offering everything from beginner tricks and professional performance material to vintage magic props, rare collectibles, and original creations.

He's also an author, magic instructor, content creator, and lifelong student of the art.

Through his magic shop, educational projects, videos, and online content, Wes continues to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with both aspiring and experienced magicians.

His philosophy is simple: there is always something new to learn, someone interesting to meet, and another adventure waiting around the corner.

Getting to Know Wes

After three decades in the entertainment industry, Wes still approaches magic with the same excitement that first captured his imagination as a child.

Whether he's performing for hundreds of people, discovering an unusual piece of magic history, interviewing a legendary entertainer, or spending time with his family, he continues to embrace the unexpected.

And that's what MagicLife is really all about.

It's not just about the tricks. It's about the stories, the people, the adventures, and the experiences that make life magical.

Be sure to tune in to Wes Iseli's MagicLife Podcast every Wednesday at 3 PM Eastern, and join Wes as he continues exploring the fascinating people and stories behind the world of entertainment.
